I can't wait to get my hands on this kit. The papers are beautiful. I really can't say it enough. I LLLOOOVVVEEE the Memory Works Express Kits. They are worth the $35 a month. I really, really use them all of the time. They take the guesswork out of scrapbooking. There are plenty of papers and embellishments to get a lot of projects done. I truly use them a lot. You can go to my gallery (On the sidebar) and see that I use them often in my projects. Email me or leave a comment if you are interested in ordering. My email is mariahashbaugh@hotmaildotcom

What I'm Reading
I gave in to temptation. I started reading the Sookie Stackhouse Chronicles. I said I was going to wait until I finished my Me The Abridged Version class. But, I couldn't stop myself. I read these two books this weekend. I'll start the third one sometime soon. They are great!!! If you watch True Blood on HBO, or if you liked the Twilight Series, then you will definitely love these books. Well, today, I will spend my day doing laundry, cleaning up, and getting ready for Monday. I hope you all enjoy the day with your families.

And just like that...
MW Express September 2010
...it's over! Summer is officially over (so I'm a day late, sorry. I fell asleep on the couch last night). I just finished this layout of my son, Wolfgang in our backyard this summer. I love this picture of him. He was waiting for Maddie to spray him with the hose. Summer is over, but I'm ready for fall. I'm ready for a respite from the heat. The kids already have their costumes for Halloween picked out and purchased. Wolfie and JoJo are going to be dinosaurs. Maddie is going to be a vampire...again. He's obsessed with vampires. I wanted all three of them to be dinosaurs, but it didn't work out. I'm thinking of starting the Sookie Stackhouse Chronicles. They're the series that True Blood is based on. I'm sort of disappointed by that. I thought it was HBO's original idea. The only thing that is holding me back is "Me, The Abridged Version". I'm going to finish that class. If I start reading, I'll become obsessed with that. So maybe once the class is over. I really love Cathy Z. Well, anyhow, Good Night!

Card Box
Supplies: Graphic 45 papers, Tim Holtz (keys, tickets, clocks), GCD Chipboard, Ranger Distress Inks, Bazzil Cardstock, ModPodge, Basic Grey Magnets (Possibly more...I don't know)
I love this box!!! Have you ever wanted to keep some cards for an event? Put them in a nice photo box. I made this box for a friend. I made a small album (the second 2 pictures) that went inside the box along with the cards for his birthday. I took a plain cardboard photobox from Hobby Lobby and covered it with Graphic 45 papers. The cool thing is that I made a flap on the top of the box for a narrative. You can see how it opens in the second picture. I also found out that I really love ModPodge. I used it to seal the box. It gave it a nice, shiny finish.
I've been cleaning out my craftroom all weekend. I'm almost finished. After this, we need to move onto the garage. We're supposed to have a yard sale next weekend. Why are they so much work? Well, gotta go. Talk to you later.

October MWExpress Sneak Peak
Look at this beautiful kit!! I can't wait to get my hands on it. If you're interested in subscribing visit my website: http://livetoscrap.memory-works.com
I love these MWExpress kits. I use them all the time. I probably use them most often in my crafting.
Another thing, way off topic. My phone bill has steadily climbed higher and higher and higher. I have my phone service bundled with my internet and DirectTV. It's become a $200 bill each month. I called yesterday and spent about 20 minutes on the phone. But, they're taking of $47 for three months. Then after three months it will be $17 for the next 6 months. So, I say go call your phone provider and see what they can do for you. I'm off to get a cup of coffee...have a great Saturday!

Me...The Abridged Version
Me in my messy bedroom
I've decided to take the class from Big Picture Scrapbooking taught by Cathy Zielske. It's called, Me...The Abridged Version. It's a 4 week class. You can find the blinkie with a link to the website on the bottom right of this page. I decided to do this for several reasons. 1. I think we all forget to tell our own stories. I know that I mainly scrapbook my kids. I think my kids will want to know more about me when they're older. 2. It comes with digital templates. I'm a traditional scrapbooker, but I might attempt to do this digitally. Then, It will be done. We'll see how this goes. 3. There is going to be a few lessons given about how to use Photoshop Elements 8.0. I just got 8.0, and I want to be able to brush up on my skills. I also have a Mac now, and it's a little different. I want to use the shortcuts and all the other fun stuff that comes with it.
So, I've watched the pre-class video, downloaded, and printed the tags. I'm ready to get started. I'll be sharing along the way.

Signs of Fall
Bazzil Basics Paper, All other supplies Sassafras
2 takes on the same photos.
Hello there, everyone. It's fall here at our house. The fall equinox has not yet arrived, but I can feel fall in the air. It's not blistering hot. The sun isn't as bright. We have a pumpkin growing on the vine. And of course, most importantly, football is on TV. I can smell my cabbage soup cooking in the kitchen. Every Sunday during football season we usually make a big pot of soup and eat it throughout the day. I'm excited for fall this year. It's been really neat to see Maddie at school. He loves school so much, and he shares his days with us. Wolfie is so quiet, it's something that he's never done. It's nice to see such excitement in Maddie.
We spent the weekend at the lake. We took the boat out yesterday. I forgot my camera :( I'm mad at myself for that. We saw some cool little lizards I would have liked to take pictures of. It was probably our last trip out. At least for a while.
I got a new computer recently, due to the hard drive crashing in the other one. We're still waiting for some people to come and fix it. My husband will use the old one for work. I broke down and got a Mac. I can't believe it. But, I actually really like it. We love our iPad, and our iPods. It just seemed like the next step. This one is also covered for 4 years. I really love the iPhoto on it. I despised it when I got started but once I got it figured out...it's really cool. It automatically recognizes people's faces.
Well, I guess that's all for today. Tonight is the season finale of my favorite shows, True Blood, Hung, and Entourage. Enjoy your night.

Enjoy the ride...
Supplies: Basic Grey Basics Paper, Tim Holtz Stamps, QuicKutz Die?
I love this little card I made for friend. I love it because I love the products I used. My new favorite stamp set is from Tim Holtz. I wanted to show you a picture, but I can't find the stamp set online anywhere. I got it from Hobby Lobby, and I don't know if it's exclusive to their stores or what. The set has a variety of stamps with it...I love them. My other favorite thing is my QuicKutz machine. I love the embossing folders. I waited forever to buy one. I found mine on sale at 2Peas in A Bucket. So, it was around $40.
This weekend we spent our time at the Chile Festival, and organizing our house. Our house does not look so organized, however. It looks more like it vomited all of its contents all over the place. I can't wait until it's all done. We are rearranging boys rooms right now. I just don't want to put any toys back in their rooms...all they do is make messes with them. Is that wrong? Okay, yes it is. A girl can dream though. We're at a new phase in our life. No more babies. The decision has been made, and it's time to purge all of the baby stuff. Our baby is three now. It's a little sad. But, at the same time, exciting. I'm ready for the next chapter in our life. I'm ready to see the boys get older, start traveling more often, and doing other things that sometimes seem impossible with a tiny baby (more alone time with my husband).
I hope you all have a wonderful evening!

Memory Works Catalog!!!! And September Goals
Lots of Super Cute Products are available. Look at the catalog. If you're interested in ordering, visit my website.
**********************************************************************
It's a new month, and almost a new season. My goals are many this month. I'm posting them here to keep myself honest. I want to organize my entire house. Let's see how much I get done before the month is over.
- Organize and clean out utility room.
- Organize and clean out craftroom (this could mean possible giveaways of my old stuff)
- Organize and clean kitchen.
- Organize and clean living room.
- Organize and clean bedroom.
- Move boys rooms...Wolfie by himself, Maddie and JoJo share.
- Organize and purge boy's clothes.
- Clean out the garage.
- Hang a coat rack or some sort of storage device for backpacks.
- Make chore charts that the boys must complete.
- Make more time for personal crafting. (It just makes me happy.)
- Start using up all the odds and ends to my Monthly kits, or purge stuff I won't use (again you may benefit from this).
That's all I can think of now. Let's see how far I get. Enjoy your evening.
