Ooops...more day 2 photos

One of the Grossies (as JoJo calls them) on the rose bush in the front yard.
Little Mo fell down.  There is a tear in his eye.  Maddie took this picture of us.
Maddie cutting roses.
Yes, the kids spent the day in their underwear.
Our Cut roses and the bud vases I bought for Maddox.  He loves to smell the roses in the front yard and cut them.  They are so pretty and they smell so good.  I love those rose bushes.  I also love the Lego car next to them.
Frozen pizza for dinner.  It was supposed to be flautas, but we accidently left the chicken out last night.  I didn't want any food poisoning.

Okay, that really is all for day 2

WIL...Day 2

Another day down in the books.  Erik went to work.  The boys and I stayed home.  Today was spent mostly cleaning and doing laundry.  I will admit, the kids watched a lot of TV and played video games.  Wolfie was still recuperating and I didn't want him running around like a wild man.  I did manage to get part of the layout done for my title page this week.  However, I didn't photograph it yet.
JoJo assisting Wolfie with his bath.  He still wasn't feeling well and wanted to take a bath after breakfast.

JoJo reading in my bed.  Yes, this is his favorite book, "The Digger."

JoJo playing with the Walkie Talkie

Maddie and JoJo playing together with the Walkie Talkies

Poor sick Wolfie playing the DSi

Jill Sleeping.  Notice the tongue.

My Self Portrait.  This is the first time I tried to take one in the mirror.  I like it.  I'll try this again.  Maybe, I'll wear makeup next time :)

The toothbrushes I will be throwing away tomorrow after Wolfie's 3 days of antibiotics.  JoJo has probably used all of these today and will be sick in no time.

Part of my page.  I'll have step by step instructions posted later.

So, there was Day 2.  I'm really enjoying this project.  I especially like taking random pictures.  I'm getting to practice using my camera...I'm finally learning how to use it after all these years.  It's exciting.  I'll see you all tomorrow.

A week in the life...Day 1

So, I've decided to start a day early.  I took some pictures yesterday that I loved.  Plus, I'm home today with sick kids.  So here is Day 1.  After the pictures,  I'll post some ideas that I thought of today.  Enjoy...
My absolute favorite photo of the day.  I took it yesterday evening, after Erik got back from fishing.

So, I thought I would write a brief little letter at the beginning of the week and incorporate it into the title page.  Here it is:

Dear Week in the Life:
I can say some of the days this week will be crazy, loud, and stress-filled.  Oh, who am I kidding?  Pretty much very day will be this way.  I am hoping to show how busy our life together is.  I want to remember this crazy, busy time because I love every minute of it.  And, I know this time will go by like a blur.  I also want to show that even though our life is busy, we enjoy it, and love each other very much.  So on that note, let us begin...I already hear screaming and yelling (Wolfie and Maddie are fighting about the Wii).
Our day consisted of:
Erik's fishing trip with Maddox (photos on Erik's camera)
Catechism
Lunch for Josh's Birthday
Visit to the Doctor
Cleaning and Laundry (neither of which got finished)

JoJo found a new reading spot in the paper towel package.

Poor, sick, Wolfie on the couch.  He spent most of the day like this.
A lovely photo of Erik and I.
Is there any question to why I'm crazy?  Maddie making silly faces.
Just one of the medications for Wolfie.
Laundry waiting to be put away.
Bakugan all lined up on Maddie's bed.  It's one of the kids' favorite toys.

Another one of JoJo and Erik.  Couldn't resist.  You should see the way Erik looks at his children.  It is one of the most beautiful things to see.  I can tell he loves them so much.

So, that concluded Day 1.  But I wanted to share just a few more ideas with you incase you are interested in documenting your week.  I'm going to make a title page for the entire week that includes the letter I wrote.  (If I'm lucky enough to get it done today, I will and share tomorrow).  I think that Simple Stories is a great way to showcase your week.  I am patiently awaiting my kit's arrival:

These Kraft envelopes are a great way to add letters or other memorabilia.  You can just punch holes in them so they will fit into your album, or include them on a page.
That's all for today.  Thanks for stopping by.

A week in the life starts tomorrow...

All products are SassaFras

Good Sunday to everyone.  I'm stuck here with SickieBoy, Wolfie.  He has Strep Throat and tons of fluid on his right ear.  The fluid has been there for about 2 weeks.  He had an ear infection over Easter.  We thought his eardrum ruptured during the night on Saturday.  I took him to the doctor on Easter Monday and the doctor said it was fine.  After we left the doctor's office, I told him the doctor said his ear was fine.  To which he replied, then why can't I hear out of it???!!!  Then yesterday, two weeks later, he had a 102.4 temp.  He has absolutely no symptoms, except for the fever.  The doctor said he has  a lot of fluid on his eardrum.  I believe he used the word, "Bulging."
So, that is where we are, and I don't think we'll go to school tomorrow.

On another subject, tomorrow is the beginning of "A week in the life."  I'm excited to start.  I'm going to get my camera ready tonight.  I hope you'll decide to play along.  I'll try to post pictures daily.  We will be busy with soccer this week.  But, I'm going to do my best.  I'll share whatever I have.  The pages I scrap, I'm going to put into our family album.  It seems practical.  Things I'm going to photograph so far.

Here I am in All my Splendor

So here I am people.  And aren't I gorgeous?  I've been noticing that when I take pictures, I have a lot of sun spots and redness.  Alas, the signs of aging are beginning to show.  I couldn't understand why I was looking older and a few close up shots showed me why.  This is sooooo sad for me.  First the kids with the stretch marks and loose skin, and now old lady skin.  Okay, maybe it's not old lady skin...yet.  But, it's on the way.  So I am taking a proactive step.  I started a 14 day treatment with Olay Definity.
Let's see how this goes.  I will post the before and after pictures in 12 more days.  Maybe, I'll even post a few in between.  But you all will be my judges.  Does my skin look younger at the end of the treatment?  Let's all hope so.  I also starting using these too.  They promise results in 8 weeks.
And moving on to other notes...Remember the "Week in the Life Challenge" on Ali Edward's blog?  It starts next week.  She gives a few ideas on her blog to document.  So, I'm getting excited to start.  I better prepare so that I'm ready.  From Ali's List, I'm going to take a daily photo of myself and my ensemble.  Then, of course daily happenings and other things.  Hopefully, I can keep up.  Well, talk to you all later!

1st Fish of the Year!

The first fish of the year!  Yesterday we spent the day at the lake.  What a wonderful day.  It was the first time out on the boat, and the first catch of the year.  Here are some more cute pictures.
Wolfie fishing from the shore.
Maddox fishing from shore.  I love this picture.

Jo Jo "fishing" from the shore.  Notice the pole is upside down, and he only almost hooked me once.  He looks so cute.

I love having boys.  I love to watch them fish and hunt and all the other things boys do.  It is so enjoyable.
On my agenda today...laundry.  Suprise, suprise.  It's never ending.  But, I'm also hoping to get some scrapbooking done.  I love these picures.
