Completely Random

I'm taking a photography class.  These are the photos I'm trying to upload so I'm posting them here to see if this works.  See, totally random, and makes no sense.

Hello People

Good Spring Morning to everyone.  Here is my latest project (as was on my list).  Yes, that is my baby, JoJo in the photo...his belly too.  I made the layout with the new papers from My Little Shoe Box.  The journaling is around the bird on strips.  It says I cute!, I weeping (I sweeping), I cweening (I cleaning), Bruvers (Brothers)  These are  all things JoJo says all the time.  The title:  Wook at Me.  Because he runs around saying that too with his cute little voice.

Also, here is my list.  As promised, I'm keeping you up to date with my Spring Break List.  So here is my progress so far.

1.  Clean out the Pantry
2.  Clean the entire house (Does it count if cleaning lady did it?)
3.  Finish all the laundry-Still working on this...7 loads and counting.
4.  Clean the car
5.  Clean the back porch
6.  Come up with a plan for the backyard
7.  Replace ugly and dead plants in the front yard
8.  Come up with a project to share with you all (it's been a while)
9.  Come up with a sketch to share with you all (also been a while)

Pretty good, I'm halfway there.  I've enjoyed this break.  We've been pretty laid back around here.  Which, is what we all need, desperately.  We are soooo busy all the time, so it's nice to not have to do anything.  I'll admit, I'm letting the kids watch too much TV, but I'm sure they'll survive.  We went  to TorC this last weekend, to our property.  I love it.  I'll share some pics on a later post.  I just don't feel like waiting for them to upload right now.  On my agenda for today is to relax, do laundry, perhaps go to Hobby Lobby, and have  fun.  I want to do a project on  here.  So email me, or leave a comment about what you'd like to do...make a mini album, learn  how to use chipboard, whatever.  Just let me know.  Have a wonderful day!

Spring Break

Those are a few of the cute new products from Fancy Pants.  Aren't they cute!!!!  There are a ton of things from the new catalog that I must have.  So, this year, I will be broke.  Please  let me know if you would like to place an order.  I should have catalogs on Monday.

Moving on...I'm going to make a list of all of the things I want to accomplish this week of Spring Break.  You, my fellow bloggers, will be my checkers.  I am accountable to you.  Maybe this will encourage me to get something done.  I don't want to look like a total failure so I will have to get something done.  Right?  Right?  At least that's my wierd thinking.  So,  here are my goals for this week.
  1. Clean out the Pantry
  2. Clean the entire house
  3. Finish all the laundry
  4. Clean the car
  5. Clean the back porch
  6. Come up with a plan for the backyard
  7. Replace ugly and dead plants in the front yard
  8. Come up with a project to share with you all (it's been a while)
  9. Come up with a sketch to share with you all (also been a while)
So, there you go.  See, I already got one thing done.  Let's see how much I can accomplish.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  We're having movie night tonight.

Brand New Catalog

Check out these really cute papers from My Little Shoe Box.  Are they not the cutest things you've ever seen.  The new catalog is coming out really soon.  I have the PDF's available, and you can find them here:

This is probably the most beautiful catalog Memory Works has released.  I love it!  I will highlight some more of my favorite products this week.  I should have the catalog in my hot little hands next week.  Until then, you can find some of the new products here.  And, don't forget, most of the other items from the old catalog are at least 20% off.  They are only available while supplies last.

On another note, I finally unpacked my stuff from my Lone Tree Retreat.  I'm starting to feel creative again.  This has not happened in a while, at it's nice to be almost back to normal.  I think I'm going to watch Celebrity Apprentice tonight.  It looks interesting.  Good evening and hugs to you all.

In Blows The Wind...

Photo by Grace Roberston Photography (to see more of Grace's Work go here)
Cardstock:  Prism Papers, Patterned Paper:  SassaFras (all available here)

And just like that, March has arrived with all the wind and dust.  Could we have expected any less?  I'm just waiting for warm weather.  This march for some reason feels so colorful, and bright to me (despite the cold).  I'm excited for the flowers and trees to bloom again.  I guess it's due to the long, cold winter we've had this year.
Every month, Memory Works has a challenge on their message boards.  This months challenge is to incorporate a song into your layout.  I know what songs I would put into a layout, "Clocks" by Coldplay, and "You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Adkins.  I was singing that song this morning, and I realize that I'm going to miss all the craziness in my house one day.  The kids will be grown, and there won't be toys everywhere, huge messes, screaming, yelling, and hitting.  But, there also won't be kisses and snuggles, cute little voices, story time, funny little things and musings children say, make-believe, and magic.  I will miss this, I will want this back, and I will wish these days hadn't gone by so fast.
I guess that's why I scrapbook, and why this year I want to focus more on the little everyday moments, and the quirky things that the boys do.  I want to remember all their sayings, and thoughts, and the cute things they do.
I have to quit putting so much pressure on myself to keep up with everything as well (Plus, also, thinking you're going to die isn't that helpful, either).  Things are getting better as far as stress.  The last couple of weeks were just so hard, and I never want to go back there again.  I've never had stress like that in my life.  So, I'm going to take it easy and try to be more balanced.  With my health scare, I learned a few things.  Things that were hard to face if I was seriously ill, like not being there for my kids, or how important I was to my family.  I also learned that there are a few things I need to work on as a parent, like being more consistent, and making sure my kids are responsible.  I really need to be more strict on chores.  Well, this was really random.  There is one more thing I wanted to share.  It's a blog post from Stephanie Howell.  It was a really beautiful post, so here's the link...  She's such a beautiful writer.  I wish I could write the way she does.  Anyhow, enjoy your evening.

Here is the March MW Express Kit.  I'm so excited to get this kit.  The cards come with clear envelopes.  How cool is that?  I love the bright colors.  I'm so ready for spring.  I can't wait for warmer weather.  This winter has really drug on.

On other notes, I have been absent.  This is because I've had some health issues in the past few weeks.  I was in the ER two Sunday's ago for chest pain.  They found a growth in my liver.  So this week I got another CT Scan and I do have a benign tumor on my liver.  It was a horrible few weeks.  But thank, God, that everything is okay.  There is no treatment for the tumor.  It just has to be monitored.  So, needless to say, I haven't been feeling like more normal self for the past few weeks.  I haven't really felt like doing much of anything.  I'm feeling a little better now, and I'm ready for my life to get back to normal.  I'll try to get my posting back to normal again.  I need to post some sketches and other stuff that I didn't get a chance to do in February because of the guest designer position.  I'll post some of those projects as well.  Well, I'm off to do laundry and all of the "normal" Sunday routines.
