Memory Works Express September Kit

$29.95 per month plus shipping and taxes

I love the colors of this kit.  Sorry, I was unable to post the contents.  For some reason my computer didn't want to cooperate.  If you're interested, leave a comment, and I'll send you the info via email.  I LLLOOOVVVEE the Memory Works Express kits.  I use them for most of my projects,  cards, and layouts.

On another note, I can't believe it's already September.  This year is just going by way too fast.  I am ready for the cool weather, especially after so much heat and humidity.

Enjoy your evening.

This Boy

This boy:
is beautiful, funny, charming...
is wild.
makes me happy beyond belief.
snuggles so nicely when he needs love.
makes me laugh like no one else.
is so loved.

But this boy:
also drives me crazy.
Frustrates me to no end.
Misbehaves.
Easily loses his temper
sometimes lies, hits, and throws tantrums which worries me.

I swear, I'm trying my best with him.  I just hope that one day he will finally learn the lessons Erik and I are teaching him.  Sometimes I see glimpses...and I know we're on the right track.  Other days, it's not so clear.

I do so love this boy.  And I just want the best for him.
*************************************************************************

Today was a rough day with Maddie.  It started out with him refusing to strap into his carseat.  I waited until he tried...to no avail...(stubborn).  Wolfie strapped him in.  Then during the ride he unstrapped Wolfie.  I told him I was going to take him to the police station so the police could talk to him about the dangers of unstrapping someone in the car.  This unstrapping has happened on many occasions.  The rest of the ride was filled with Wolfie and Maddie fighting, hitting each other, and yelling.  After that we had to go to the accountant's office.  The street was closed due to construction.  So, I had to get all the boys out and walk a block to get to the office.  Maddie took a free lollipop...he couldn't have one because I told him no.  He put it in his pocket anyway.  I didn't learn of this until we got home.  After the trip to the accountant's office, we went to the State Police office by our house.  The officer talked to him about unstrapping himself and others in the car.  Then we went home.  That's when I learned about the lollipop.  Techniquely he didn't steal it...it was free.  But he is now punished.  Banished to his room for the rest of the evening.  When will he learn to make good choices?  Sometimes it's so hard to be a parent.

Colorado Vacation

As part of my attempt to post more often, I'm finally going to post the pictures of our short trip to Colorado.  The ones I promised to post a month ago.  We went to Colorado to visit Erik's grandparents, Ross and Wally.  Most of the pictures are of her yard.  She and Ross have a way with landscaping.
Maddie in front of some wild flowers.

View from the back of the property to the front.

JoJo under the tree playing in the tiny little sandbox we bought at WalMart

The light was so great under that tree.  I made the boys come over to take pictures.  This was the best one.  The other two featured Wolfie hitting JoJo with the golf club...nice.

Wolfie and Maddie looking for bugs.  Each one of those flowers was handplanted!  Wally planted every single flower in her yard.

At the Ouray Hotsprings Pool

Maddie at the pool.

View from the Ouray pool.  There are some crazy or adventurous (use the term you prefer) people climbing up the cliff face.  You'll have to click to enlarge the picture to be able to see them.

All of us in front of the powder house at Box Canyon

See my amateur photography skills at work.

Today, I plan to finish up some commissioned projects.  I can share those with you.  I'm also going to photograph some layouts I finished last weekend.  That is if light permits.  It's cloudy and cool here today.
Enjoy your Saturday!

That's it!

That's it, I am going to have to make more time for blogging. It's something I really enjoy doing. I feel guilty about blogging sometimes. But, I've decided that I can take a few minutes, a few times a week to do this. It helps me clear my head.

My life has been one big roller coaster lately. I've been sick the last few days. Not fun. School started and that means less time for crafting. I can't believe fall is on the way! I'm looking forward to football and cool weather. So, how have all of you been? If you still read this poorly updated blog, leave a comment and let me know. I'd love to hear from you.
P.s. I'm posting this from my iPad. If it works, then I'll be able to post more easily, especially when I'm pressed for time.

Dear Craftroom...

Dear Craftroom:
I surely do miss you.  I'm sorry that I never get to spend time in you and get some good crafting done.  I'm also sorry that you are a mess right now.  You're full of boxes, and bags unpacked from the last crop I went to.  I do apologize.  I've just been so busy.  I really wish life would slow down for about 10 seconds.  Crafting for other people, going to the hospital, going to Karate, going to meetings, and trying to keep up with day to day chores have left very little time for you.  I promise, when time permits, that I will clean you, unpack you, and try to get some of my own personal crafting done.  Please be patient with me.  I still love you.

Sincerely,
 Your neglectful owner,
Mariah

I'm officially old...ha

All BoBunny Products

That photo has absolutely nothing to do with this post, but I felt I should post a project.  Seeing as how I have not done so in a few months (at least it feels that way).  My birthday was yesterday.  I turned 30!  We decided to go to Tamaya.  I will post a few pictures of that event in a later post.  We had a wonderful time.  It was so relaxing.  The kids spent a lot of time in the pool, and I spent a lot at the spa.  I'm really wishing I had more time to get some  projects done.  It just seems that the weeks fly by at light speed.  My grandfather is back in the hospital, again.  So, we'll see how that goes.  He gained 25 pounds of fluid this week.  It looks to be another busy week.  I miss blogging, and I hope you are all doing great!  Until next time.

As Promised...1st Day of School

Wolfie on his first day of 2nd grade.
Maddie on his first day of Kindergarten (getting shoes on).
Maddie in the cafeteria.
Maddie in class (he didn't know I was there).
He caught me!

It's unbelievable that I have two boys in school now.  It's exciting.  I just can't believe how fast time flies.

I have 5 seconds left...

Hi everyone...let's make this quick.  I have 5 seconds left before my husband yells at me for sitting at the computer.  I'm supposed to be cleaning for the cleaning lady.  But, it's just been too long since my last post.  I really miss blogging.  I don't know how many of you read my posts, but, it's fun to get things off my chest anyway.  Things have been wild around here.  Tomorrow will be Maddie's 1st day of school.  I will officially have two kids in school.  Where did the time go?  It really flies so fast.  I will share pictures of both boys' first days on Thursday, hopefully.  We have Tae Kwon Doe tomorrow, otherwise I would try to post.

My computer almost crashed today.  I turned it on, and I don't know what happened.  It loaded with absolutely nothing on it.  No photos, no documents.  Almost like a brand new computer.  So, I'm backing up my stuff right now.  You need to backup your stuff as well.  Let this be your reminder.  Our other computer crashed, and it's going to take over $1,000 to recover the pictures off of it.  (That's why I'm waiting for a while to do it).  Thank God, I already scrapbooked the pictures.

On the Grandparents front.  My grandfather is still in the nursing home.  He's doing well.  My mom asked him the other day what he wanted to do.  Apparently, he doesn't want to go home.  That's good for two reasons:  1.  My grandmother doesn't want him to come home, 2.  We felt guilty about him having to go to a nursing home during recovery.  But he likes it.  My grandmother on the other hand is going totally cuckoo.  She wants a divorce...after 70 years of marriage.  Because her mother, who appears to her, told her God owes her two good years before she dies.  She is also crawling on the floor, because she can no longer walk.  She's faking to get attention or whatever it is.  She walks after a while when someone comes to stay with her.  My mom and aunt are going to have a tough road ahead of them.  It is such a hard thing to see.  It's something that I never dealt with as a child.  Erik's grandmother is in the hospital as well.  She actually can't walk, or crawl for that matter.  The doctors aren't sure why.  She has osteoporosis.  Her sternum and ribs are fractured from a previous surgery.  She is such a wonderful lady.  I really admire her.  I was so fortunate as a child to not have to worry about these things.  Now, my kids are going to have to deal with them.  It's funny how life works sometimes.

Well, I guess that's all.  I really like the school I'm working at.  I guess I really needed a change.  I feel refreshed and ready.  I have a really nice class.  A big class, but, they're nice...and smart.  I really, truly, hope you are all doing well.  Thanks for reading, if you got to the bottom of this.

Oh, Yeah...I blog

Paper, ribbon and flower from the June MWExpress Kit
Ranger Distress Inks, Perfect Pearls

I almost forgot that I had a blog.  Not really, I've just been so busy.  I've been getting my classroom together, shopping for school supplies/clothes, putting the kids in Tae Kwon Do, and visiting my grandfather.  Sorry about the poor picture for the card.  I should have cropped it and all that other fun stuff, but it just would have taken to long.  It was very simple and easy.  I did the reverse embossing resist on the stamped letters then sprayed it with Perfect Pearls.  I'm hoping once things slow down a little bit here, I can get some projects done to share with you.  So, hang in there with me.  I'm going to go cook dinner now.  Then go shopping for backpacks.  Wolfie and I start school tomorrow.  How are you guys doing?  Hope everything is going well.  Until next time.
