Clique Kits January Pep Rally

Hello there everyone and welcome to my blog.  I am excited to have you join us for the pep rally today!  You should be arriving here from Kim's blog.  I absolutely loved the January Tailor Made Kit.  I used the entire thing and have a few scraps leftover.  Here is the layout I made for todays Pep Rally.  My husband grew a mustache for Movember.  It was a lot of fun, and it fit perfectly with our German Christmas so he kept it for December too.  We had to have a layout dedicated to the Magnificent Mustache ha!  I used the sketch I created for the Clique Kits Blog as a starting point for this layout.

My goals for this year are to keep up with Project Life 2015.  I want to get my house organized.  We are going on year 12 here at our home, and that's a lot of stuff.  I also want to expand my garden this year and hopefully find a way to get rid of ants without poison.  They made working in the garden last summer unbearable.  We will continue our Real Food diet.  I would also really like to finish the decor in my craftroom.

I'm going to share the other projects I made with the Tailor Made kit incase you missed them on the Clique Kits Blog.  Don't forget to check the blog out daily for awesome inspiration!

No too shabby for a month!  Well you are off to Alisha's blog!

30 Days of Thankful Sketch

I know you all are loving my awesome ability of drawing a straight line.  I just wanted to post this.  I modeled it after an actual calendar.  I'm going to mix pictures and just words in these squares.  I'm thinking of actually creating the two page spread and making squares...with a ruler this time.  Then going back and adding different embellishments and items to them as the month goes along.  I'm also working on the .png files so you can download them.  That's all for today!  Have a great day.

Quick Sketch and a Useful App

This is for a 12x12 layout that I plan on doing in the near future.  It's for my pictures from the Mud Run I did in March.  I want to incorporate my number on to the layout.  You could adapt this for your own personal use as well.

I made this sketch on the Bamboo Paper App (You should check it out on your iPad).  I can use my finger to draw or write and then email the photos to myself, where I can save them as JPEGs.  For this reason, I plan on sharing a lot more sketches here.  I did post them here before, but it was always a lot harder to do the sketches in Photoshop.  I will also be posting files you can cut with your Silhouette Machine.  I will share an example of that later in the week.  I am trying to figure out the easiest way for you to download them from my blog.  That is all today, Peeps!  Have a great one!

New Sketch

All photos are 3 inches wide and 4 inches tall.  The big strip in the middle should be around 2 inches.

Sketchy Saturday

For a 12X12 layout.  The large green square is 11x11.  Pictures are 2x3.

Here is a sketch for you today.  I'm going to be off to the store in a few minutes to stock up for Super Bowl snacks.  We're not doing anything special, but I live with 4 boys (including my husband).  They eat like animals.  My refrigerator was decimated this week with the bad weather.  I wasn't expecting  three days at home.  I was going to go out for lunch yesterday, but didn't have any car seats.  My husband took two of the kids to work last Friday because they were sick, and we forgot to put them back in the car.  So we had to settle for Ramen Noodles.

So that is all for this post.  Enjoy your day.  And, if I don't post tomorrow enjoy the Superbowl/Your Crafting time :)

A New Sketch

I'm on a roll with the sketch posting, one last month, and one this month.  I started back to work this week, and here is a funny story.  I showed up a day early for work.  Yes I did!  I dropped my kid's off at their babysitter's house.  She said her daughter (who is also a teacher in the same district) didn't start school until the next day.  I was like, "NOOOO!"  I quickly asked her for a school calendar.  Sure enough I had one extra day of vacation.  Boy did I feel like an idiot.  But I just decided to leave the kids at daycare and have a day to myself.  I edited some photos from a photo shoot.  I'm almost done and I can't wait to share.  Then I went to lunch with my mother-in-law.  We had a GREAT time!  So in the end, it worked out.  The kids got to wake up early and we had a "practice run" for the real thing.  I got a day to myself.  And besides, it's always better to be a day early than a day late...that's what I say!

New Card Sketch

Here is the card sketch I promised.  The only part I didn't design was the Christmas tree which you can find here:  Christmas trees

I will be back either tomorrow or Sunday to show you my own version.  Enjoy your evening.

P.S.   If your interested, I have the .psd file.  Email me if you need it.

How about a sketch?

It's been a long time since I posted a sketch.  It's pretty self explanatory...a 12x12 layout with 3 4x4 boxes for photos or journaling.  The blotch in the back is for some sort of embellishment behind the title.  I just don't have any fancy sketch software so that's what I came up with in Photoshop.  I'd love to see what you come up with...so if you want to share feel free.  The last day of school was today!!!!!!!  I am done for two months.  I get to stay home with the kids.  I want to get some projects done.

Don't forget the blog hop on Friday, May 28-May 31.  There are lots of ladies participating.  There will be tons of prizes.  Tell all of your friends to come and join us.  This is the first time I've done a blog hop.  I'm excited.  (I love that Italic Font...maybe I'll use it all the time).

The kids are doing better regarding their little pet.  Maddie tried to blame her death on JoJo because he said JoJo held her tight under the stomach.  I had to tell him she died from sickness not anthing that anyone did.  I don't want to get another guinea pig, but he wants one.  So, I don't know.  I just don't want to go through this again.  Until next time...

Sketch Day

Good Monday Everyone!  I stayed home today with sick kids.  They are doing much better.  In fact, JoJo felt so good that he decided to put a wash cloth and a comb in the toilet.  So, I had to fish out both items, clean the bathroom floor, and give him a bath.  At least he flushed the toilet before putting the stuff in.  That makes it just a slight bit less disgusting.

Anyway, I'm going to try and post a new sketch for you each month.  As I get more done, maybe I can up that to more often.  But, here you go!  My first original sketch.  All of the photos are 2.75 inches, except for the large one which is 6 inches.  The page size is 12x12.  Feel free to use it, and if you do you can share it as well.  If I get some scrapbooking done,  I'll try to use this sketch for you.  However, I have to finish an album, and a card order.  Oh, did I mention Erik is out of town, again?  Well, anyway...here is to a good week for everyone.
