Clique Kits Pep Rally "Study Abroad"

Hello there lovely ladies, and a few gents.  Welcome to the Clique Kits Pep Rally.  You should have arrived here from Alisha's blog.  Today we are sharing our projects for the Clique Kits September Kit,  Study Abroad.  I loved this kit.  I loved the bright colors, the origami hearts, and the Washi Tape.  There were so many personal touches to this kit, which is what I love about Clique Kits.  This month's theme was "Be Daring"

"The Clique challenges you to try something DARING this month! We think you are awesome and unique, and special in your own right-so go shine your light!"
(-via Beautiful Nomad)

I took this quote literally, when I created this 12x12 layout of my son at the lake.  He and my husband were shining the flashlight around the fire just before we sent the kids off to bed.

And some close-ups.

The "Shine"  title and the stars are my files which you can download for your Silhouette here (If you use them, just link them back to me):  Shine and Stars.  I didn't have time to convert them to .PNG.  If you are interested in that, please let me know.

The next layout is my Project Life Spread.  This was the week that we went back to Colorado for Ross and Wally's Memorial.

Alisha---You came from here.
Mariah---You are here.

  1. I LOVE your layout! That background is perfect and love all the pops of color throughout! And what great pocket pages! GREAT work Mariah! Thanks for joining us today.

  2. What a gorgeous layout - I really love how you used those shipping tags in all their glory rather than just have them peeking out from beneath something. They look great and really draw the eye in toward the photo. Good job on the Project Life spreads too!

  3. Hi Mariah- I love your post. The first layout made me remember that when we first started planning this kit, I had requested that in addition to the black, yellow, grey, blue, green palette we add just a little accent of RED. I think the others reluctantly were going to go along but we couldn't get the one paper we wanted which led to us abandoning the idea. Now I see your layout and how you added your own pop of red to it and I am like YES!! It works! And it looks awesome! So happy to see this. Sorry about your losses though- I don't mean to be superficial talking about color. Hugs!

    1. I loved the red too. Thank you for you kind words.
