Baby Mini Album is Complete

The picture didn't come out so well with the reflection and the letters don't show the embossing. They are actually more sparkly.

This pocket holds extra 4x6 photos. You put punch holes in your photos and place them on the brad. Then you slip the whole stack in the pocket.

The little tags come out and you add pictures on the brad.

Good Evening Everyone. I just finished a mini album for Erik's cousin so I am posting pictures of it today. To complete this project, I used a mixed media album from Fancy Pants and the "Lil Sprout" collection from Fancy Pants. You can find it here. I used Zip Dry to adhere the paper to the chipboard and it worked perfectly. You can find it here.
I am so excited about our new catalog. There is a ton of new stuff and a great selection of products. I think I will be recieving my catalogs tomorrow. I got an email from UPS saying some sort of package will be delivered tomorrow. So, I hope that is what it is. Memory Works will also be offering extra products each quarter called the "Bonus Buy" program. This quarter, they are offering a Making Memories Slice. You can find more information about that here. The deadline for that is October 30. I will send the full order in on the 31st.
Just another reminder that the layout contest will be over tomorrow. So submit your layouts via my email by tomorrow night at 11:59 p.m. The winner will recieved a paper pack and embellishments from the new catalog. Just scroll down the blog and you will find that information.
Enjoy your evening. I'm off to cook dinner. How exciting!

Halloween Cards

It's Saturday...I got to sleep in until 7:00 a.m. I have been so exhausted this week. The soccer games for today were cancelled so that is nice because now I get to have a real Saturday. A Saturday where I don't have to go anywhere or do anything. I'm so excited. My plans for today are:

*Scrapbook

*Possibly buy shoes for the boys (JoJo only has sandals since he somehow misplaced his tennis shoe-yes 1 tennis shoe)
*Go to Wal-Mart (ugh!)
*Scrapbook
*Relax
*Finish up Erin's mini album. I need to punch holes in it but have no hole puncher so this might mean drilling through the pages with Erik's drill. Techniquely, Erik will be drilling while I try not to watch and scream. Then I will share pics when I have it finished. If it has not been destroyed.
So those are my plans for today. If only I could have another Saturday tomorrow...but alas. Here comes whiney JoJo so I'm going to leave you to your Saturday. Enjoy it and do some scrapbooking because our layout contest is over September 30. Remember to email me your layouts to have a chance to win a free paper pack and embellishments from the new catalog.

First Day of Fall-Belated

Subscriptions are $29.99 Click Here to subscribe.

Sorry for the belated fall post. I had no time to post yesterday. We didn't get home until 8:00 last night. Wolfie had a soccer game and boy was that interesting. Evening games are not a good idea for 6 year olds. They are hungry and tired. None of the kids paid attention. Some of them were laying out on the field during the game. It was funny (don't tell Erik I said that-he was not amused).

I was going to post some pictures of cute little pumpkin cards I made, but I don't feel like loading them up from the camera. Yes that is awful of me so I'll try to post them tomorrow (Maddie's turn for soccer tomorrow at 6 pm) or Friday. Also I will be finishing a mini-album up soon so I will post those pictures soon. I'm thinking of making more of them...customizing for customers and selling them. I don't know. I'll talk to you all later. Enjoy your evening. !!!!! Reminder don't forget to email me your layout for the contest!!!!

Happy Tuesday

Well, Hello Everyone. I am running out of posting ideas. So I thought I would entertain you with some random stuff. Well, the first random item is Erik just shot through a toy with a bow and arrow. It was accidental, of course. He was practicing for his hunting trip and apparently the arrow went straight through the target into the toy. (Don't worry it was a bullseye on the target). The toy still functions it just has a hole in it now. Wow, that was random. Anyway...next I posted a picture of a layout I did this weekend. I used paper from the September kit. There was no creativity involved in the making of this layout. I copied it directly from the Memory Works Website. As soon as I saw the paper I knew exactly what photo to use it for....the first day JoJo spent at home. So I went to the Memory Works website and found this layout under the September Kit ideas. All of the embellishments came from the kit as well.
Next, how about some cutie pics of Maddie. He loves to write and draw so here he is drawing at the kitchen table.
And here is what he drew. Me sitting down. Look how cute I am.
Well, I guess that is all of the craziness for one evening. Please enjoy the rest of yours and I will to post on Thursday or Friday. I have tons of stuff to do this week. Tonight is my only free night and Erik is leaving Thursday for the rest of the week so I will be on my own. In my next post I will announce the prize for the layout contest.

Layout Sample

Here is my version of the layout from Pagemaps. To see the dimensions just view the September 1st post. Sorry about the pictures. They came out fuzzy. Remember, you have until September 29 to submit your own layout (email it to me) for a chance to win a paper pack and some embellishments from the new catalog. The polls are still open for 3 more days if you want to vote for the type of paper you want.

Moving on...My life has been so hectic these days. Today was the first day of soccer season. We had Wolfie's game at 8:30. Boy were we in for a rude awakening. The field is double the size, and the quarters are 12 minutes long. Three kids didn't show up so we only had one sub. They were so exhausted it was ridiculous. It's a good thing it was a scrimage otherwise we would have had to forfeit the game. Wolfie was crying because the other kids scored so many goals, and he got punched in the face, etc. What a terrible time.

Maddie's game was good. It is so much more fun to watch when the kids are happy. He has a habit of running down the field with his tongue sticking out. He looked so cute. He's tiny compared to the rest of the kids. He did pretty good. He was a little shy the first half, but in the second half he got a little more aggressive. All in all, I guess it went okay. Enjoy your weekend. It's Football Sunday tomorrow!!!

Cute New Stuff From Fancy Pants

I love Fancy Pants. They are one of my most favorite designers. Here are their new releases for the Fall/Winter Catalog. Of course, each set has matching buttons, rubons, stickers, and journaling cards available. I will be putting an order in on the 11th of September. You can email me your orders if you are interested. Also, check out my website to view the other new products available.
This past year, we had problems with keeping items instock from the manufacturer. So each month their will be new products available for a limited time only. Here are the new September "Limited" Products: BoBunny "Tis the Season" Dream Street
Also in the next few weeks, I will be offering a video class on my blog to demonstrate different techniques such as embossing, stamping, etc. We will create a mini album of techniques. I will get back to you with more information with specific dates and a schedule of classes. Hope you enjoyed your weekend.

September Challenge

Happy September Everyone!!! I am trying to keep my end of the bargain up by posting more often. So, I thought a good challenge should be in store. Above you will see a sketch from PageMaps. Your challenge, should you accept it, is to create a layout using this sketch. Submit your sketch by September 30 at 11:59 p.m. You can email me your sketch so we can post it and vote on the winner. I'm not sure of the prize...I'm thinking a cool paper pack from the new catalog. Are you interested in Halloween, Christmas, or regular papers and embellishments. Let me know. I will try to get my own version of the sketch posted for you all to see as well. There are sample sketches on PageMaps as well just click on the September PageMaps.
Happy Scrapping...I can't wait to see what you come up with :)
